The parish was split into 3 Enumeration Districts:
Enumeration District 1
The northern boundary of this enumeration district extends from the South Lodge of Tayfield west to Newport Castle (opposite Pluck the Crow Point) and thence along the sea coast to Wormit Bay. Along this boundary line are the following houses: Pluck the Crow, Fishers Cottage, Cowe Hole, the village of Woodhaven and Scroggie Side. The farms of Wormit & Newton form the western boundary and separate the parishes of Forgan and Balmerino. The farms and cottar houses are the only houses on this boundary line.
The southern boundary extends from Newton Hill east to Bogton, the houses of which on the north side of the road only belong to Forgan, and form part of the boundary between Forgan and Kilmany parishes. This southern boundary is continued from Bogton, by the south of the Links and Morendy Woods, separating between Forgan, Logie & Leuchars parishes, and meeting the southern extremity of the eastern boundary close to, but not including Peckletillom.
The eastern boundary of this division extends along the main road (running from Leuchars to Newport) from Commertone Houses and includes along the line St Fort Smithy and Forgan School house and ends where the northern boundary begins at South Lodge of Tayfield. In the centre of this district are St Fort House and servants' houses connected therewith, the farms and cottar houses of Wester Friarton, South Friarton and Flass, Seggie Den, Tayfield Mains and Water Stone Crook.

The houses near this boundary line are (1) along the coast Craighead Cottages, Northfield farm and cottar houses; (2) opposite Craig Law, Cliff Terrace, Chesterhill & Knowhead.
The eastern boundary is Morton Estate in Forgan parish between Forgan & Ferry Port on Craig & Leuchars parishes, extending to the farms of Nine Wells and Kirkton Barns. The houses along this boundary are Morton Farm & Cottar Houses, Ninewells, Burnside, Kirkton Barns & Lawhouses.
The southern boundary passes along the north of Cowbakie Hill & Craigie Hill to the turnpike road from Leuchars to Newport. The houses near this line are Cauldhame, Forgan Manse, Myreside and East Friarton.
The western boundary is the eastern boundary of No. 1 enumeration district but extending from the South Lodge of Tayfield along by Newport but not including any portion of it as far as James Street, the western point of the northern boundary. The houses along this line are Old Schoolhouse, Tayfield Smithy and the farm of Craighead. In the centre of this enumeration district are the farms and cottar houses of Inverdovat, Causeyhead and Roseberry.

It extends from James Street, the western point of the 2nd. enumeration district along the sea coast as far as Newport Castle opposite Wellgate House (inclusive).
Its southern boundary is the northern boundary of No. 1 enumeration district from Newport Castle to the South Lodge of Tayfield and the remaining side has for its boundary the northern boundary of No. 2 enumeration district from South Lodge of Tayfield to James Street east of Newport.
