Early Feus on Tayfield Estate

The South Coast of the Tay along the Estate of Tayfield the property of William Berry, Esq., c. 1840

This map is held at the National Records of Scotland, RHP30444. It is not (yet) available online.

I have drawn the feuing areas content of the map onto current mapping and have also shown the earlier estate boundaries. The map covers the area within the blue dashed line, and was drawn sometime about 1840. Not all buildings in the High Street area, Broadhaugh and Marytown are shown on the original. However, the main purpose of the map appears to have been to show the much older feus which had been consolidated into Tayfield estate. This is the only known map to show these boundaries.

The original uses letters as a key to the feus, I have used colours. The full key is given here.
