9 July 1828 … appeared personally David Just, mason Justfield, and Thomas Josephus Corbyn, teacher of 'Gmnastics' in Dundee bailie … David Just having & holding a feu disp by Thomas Just feuar at Justfield to said David Just of piece ground 48 yards or thereby in length N - S and 43' or thereby in width E - W and set off from the E and W by march stones & the house built by said David Just thereon, pt of Broadhaugh …
bounded the said Broadhaugh by Robert Russell's land on E, by land feued by John Lyon of Kinnaird on W, by highway which divides Broadhaugh from the Wellgate Park on S, by flood mark on N.
The said ground thereby disponed is bounded on N by a stone dyke the property of said David Just, on S by said road …, on E & W parts by the rest of Broadhaugh then belonging to the said Thomas Just with privilege along with Arthur Baird & Thomas Just's tenants of the well and bleaching green on the E side of the house then possessed by Thomas Just & free ish & entry thereto;
said David Just should be obliged when required by said Thomas Just or his successors to open a road 8' wide to run through his property E - W on the south side of the said house built by David Just on the ground above described
and also that the said David Just & his foreaids should not be at liberty to erect and they are hereby prohibited from erecting on the ground thereby disponed within the space of 20 years from the date of said feu disp any Missionary Church meeting house or place of worship & should they … attempt to contravene this stipulation by erecting such a building or converting any building or house that might be erected on the said ground to such a use then the feu disp … shall become void & the ground should revert to Thomas Just or his heir … 28 March 1809 … RS 32/162/127
