4 Oct 1833. George Milln by seq. estate of Robert Dalgleish. Alexander Murray, labourer Newport, appeared personally as procurator & attorney. ... (1) all & whole that new lodging or dwelling house at Maryton lately possessed as an inn by Thomas Honeyman and consisting of 2 stances together also with a small house attached thereto in the area & a piece of garden ground, the whole premises measuring 34 falls or thereby, (2) as also all & whole the back court attached to the foresaid tenement with the 3 stables erected thereon and which have lately been converted into dwelling houses, the said back court & area on which the stables or dwelling houses stood measuring in all 10 falls ... marked no. 12 on a plan of said village docqueted by James Brown (accountant Edinburgh, Trustee of Mr Dalgleish) as relative to the feu charter which he is now in the course of granting as Trustee dated 20 Mar 1832 ... bounded on N by the road from Ferryport-on-Craig to Newport or street called Tay Street, on S by street called Union Street, on E by ground feued to John Cowe Farquharson 7 on W by theroad leading betwixt the same and the property of Mr William Berry, Tayfield or street called William Street ...
