| Cupar 2 Apr 1851 … At Dundee on behalf of James Trevenen collector of customs in Duncee was presented a feu charter by Berry, Tayfield, consent of George Just builder Newport … sold to James Trevenen … that building stance part of the park between the village of Easter Newport & the turnpike road from Newport - Cupar lot 20 on plan by William Scott architect Dundee … 30 pol 7 yd imperial including half of the street or meuse lane … extending along the S boundary of the lot; bounded on N by road from Newport to Ferryport on Craig, bounded on E by lot 19 feued to James Miller farmer Kinnear, bounded on S by 15' meuse lane, bounded on W by lot 21, together with the dwelling house & others erected on said grnd by George Just …right together with other feuars of the park to use & enjoyment of the water spring on lot 3 for supplying the houses with water … & the … feuars are entitled at their expense to put a pipe into said spring to conduct the water by the central division road marked on the plan so as to carry water by branch pipes to their respective dwelling houses … right of access to the spring for repairing the pipe or reservoir … entry at Whitsunday 1850, feu dated 28 March 1851 … witnessed by James Smith, factor & George Cramb, servant to Mr Berry.
