Cupar 29 November 1858 … Robert Just, wright Newport, son of Thomas Just … [borrowed from] James Wilson … £450 at 5% … in security - all & whole that 2-storey house buit by the deceaased Thomas Just my father, & these 3 houses built by me Robert Just with the yards belonging thereto, part of the lands of Wellgate, all as now or lately occupied by James Johnston & Janet Smith, Captain John Inglis & Miss Jean Archibald, Miss - Arnot & Mrs Ann Johnston, and Peter Gardiner my tenants, bounded by a hedge on the east, a stone dyke & the turnpike road on N, a road of 5' on the W, & by a straight line now a stone dyke from the corner of the quarry on the south parts, being parts of that piece of land called Wellgate feued by said deceased Thomas Just from John Lyon, Kinnaird … privilege of shipping … & quarrying … RS 32/318/255
