Arrangements for a mortuary had fallen through. |

Home Guard: Mr J B Salmond is O.C., 'A' Co., No. 2 Fife Bn., Home Guard. |

ARP shelters to be altered to provide an entrance at each end. |
Queen Street scheme: house used by evacuees is now vacant - let to Mr Tasker or Mr Fearn. |
Domestic shelters: advice / materials from Council - only applications were from Mr McClure, Maryfield Cottage; Christopher Anderson, 18 Woodhaven Avenue; Mrs A N Duncan, 16 Woodhaven Avenue; Mr Blackmore, 18 Mars Gardens. |
Gas manager: Mr Dickson has been appointed gas manager at Airdrie. Make a new appointment. |
January 1941. Another metal water dam received - put at south-west corner of Tay Terrace allotments. |
Price of gas: 5/6d. (5/9d. for slot meters). |

Miss Tait to be given notice and the post advertised. |

June 1941. Death of Dr Tannahill who had for some years practised with Dr T P Stewart. |
There is a nursery school in Newport entirely under the management of Edinburgh Education Authority. |
14 Woodhaven Avenue is now vacant: allocated to James R McIntosh, Mackay House, West Newport. |
A national fire scheme: Guardbridge to cease to be used, Tayport instead. Mr Kelly's connection with the auxiliary fire service is at an end as new appointments are to be made. |
Difficulties of getting domestic staff for Rolleston. |
No elections, but resignations of Young and Peattie. |
Fire cover is to come from Tayport, Cupar or St Andrews. |
Military camp to be set up on ground adjoining Causewayhead Road, with sewer connections. |
