| 10 June 1828 appeared Arthur Baird, weaver, named in the following feu disp & residing in the subjects adjoining the property hereafter described on the west, as procurator for Charles Landale, formerly druggist in Dundee now civil engineer, and William Baird, also weaver, son of Arthur Baird, also residing as above as bailie, the said procurator having in his hand a feu disp dated 12 June 1809 by Thomas Just, feuar at Justfield, in favour of said Charles Landale whereby Thomas Just disp. To Charles Landale & heirs … ground & houses built thereon, part of Broadhaugh, bounded by the road from Newport to Woodhaven on S, by a piece of ground feued by Thomas Just to said Arthur Baird on W, by sea flood on N, and by property belonging to Mr Berry, Tayfield, on E; with privilege with Arthur Baird & others to the well on E side of the house then possessed by Thomas Just … feu duty 5/- and double on first year of entry of each heir … disp to Charles Landale & heirs … witnessed by Thomas Stewart residing Woodhaven … RS 32/162/16 |
