| Jane Fraser Stewart St Fort to Hugh Scott. 28 Jul 1875 exposed to public roup & Thomas Joseph Hay solicitor Dundee offered £960 on behalf of Hugh Scott manufacturer Dundee … all & whole the dw ho called Woodmuir House with a triangular pce grnd on which it is situated bounded - : on N by turnpike road Newport - Wormit, : on E by 35' road leading southwards from said t/p between Woodmuir Park and the lands of Tayfield; : on SW by road dividing said pce grnd from the remainder of Woodmuir Park … 2 roods 2 pol 21 yd but excluding 1 pol 21 yd or thereby to be taken from said pce grnd for the purpose of widening the said road on the SW to 25' … under the following conditions - any bldgs which shall be erected on said grnd shall not exceed 1.5 storeys height and including roof & chimney stalks shall not exceed 25' from the ground … road to SW to be made up to 25' width … Hugh Scott shall make in so far as not already done so the whole of the 30' street to the E … bldgs never to be used as inn, hotel, selling spirituous liquors etc … feu duty of 1 penny only if asked … witnesses Alexander Anderson, my overseer, & John Fergusson, my butler, at St Fort.
