Edinburgh 23 May 1888. David Brand, accountant, British Linen Bank, Dundee residing sometime at Hillbank, East Newport now in Murraygate, Dunee, sole surviving Tr of deceased Rev Thomas Just (Mrs Rose Mary Ann Bachelor / Just - wife; John Just - brother) - estate to be divided among his brother's daughters & their survivors. Mrs R M A Just died 22 Aug 1887; John Just died 10 Sep 1876; Joanna Tomima Just & Jane Eliza Just, spinsters, Gowan Bank are the only surviving daughters of John, Barbara Scott Just & Elizabeth Nicoll Just having died unmarried, - whole to be conveyed to them - (1) all & whole pt of Broadhaugh bounded on E by property belonging or formerly to William Duncan, the King's highway on S, by march stones on N, & by land to be described on W; privilege of 4' road from N boundary to the sea … privilege of shipping … reservation to William Just a former proprietor of said subjects … to place pipes in the ground hereby disponed from the well on the S side of the road leading to the house now or formerly occupied by him … ; (2) also pce of Broadhaugh, the E-most of those 2 dwelling houses built upon the said pce grnd together with the pce grnd in front of the E-most house between it & the King's highway & garden ground behind it extending from the back wall to the N garden wall or dyke bounded on the N by said garden wall or dyke, on E by porperty last above disponed, on S by King's highway, & on W by mutual gable wall between the said house hereby disponed & said other adjacent house on the W thereof & by a continuation of a straight line of the centre of said mutual gable prolonged on each side till it reach the said southern & northern boundaries; (3) as also the ground situated to the N of the said garden ground herein before disponed & to the N of the coterminous garden ground sold by David Henderson a former proprietor of the said subjects to David Jack bounded on N by march stones being the N boundary of the whole ground feued by David Henderson from William Just, mason at Justfield, on the E by the property first above disponed, on S partly by garden ground above disponed & partly by the wall of the said coterminous garden ground sold by David Henderson to David Jack; which wall shall belong to the disponees; & on W by property of Andrew Kilgour; together with erections on said ground & entry to the whole subjects via a 3' road / passage from the King's highway N-wards along the W side of the W-most dwelling house built by David Henderson on ground feued by him aforesaid & since sold to David Jack, & then running E-wards along the back of the said house till it reached the subjects hereby disponed; … privilege of shipping … right of David Jack to entry to his remaining pieces of grnd across the grnd last disponed by a footpath communicating with a door in said mutual garden wall … obligation to use Sea Mill … RS101/356/3 +
